Melissa Grimaldo

Melissa Grimaldo is a Peruvian American who still feels like Lima is home, but of course no city can top Dallas, Texas.  She attended a few years of school in Lima but did most of her schooling here in Dallas. She attended high school at the prestigious Ursuline Academy of Dallas. She later went on to Austin College, where she played four years of collegiate soccer. In 2011 she received her bachelor’s degree from Austin College with a double major in International Relations and Spanish.  She then decided to attend law school at Texas A&M University School of Law.

While in law school, she worked for an immigration firm specializing in Employment Based Immigration petitions such as EB-1 and EB-2, treaty traders, and treaty investors (E-1 and E-2), H1B, TN’s and L Visas.  Because of this extensive experience, she is our Law Office’s primary employment-based immigration attorney.

After graduating from law school, she worked for the non-profit organization, RAICES, where she represented clients in complex removal defense proceedings.  She then worked for two other private law firms gaining substantial experience in most areas of immigration law.  Our firm recognized how incredible she was with immigration cases and stole her.  She adds so much experience and knowledge to our firm that we are confident we can handle any type of immigration case as well as any immigration firm in the country.

Ms. Grimaldo has assisted clients with a wide range of family-based immigration matters, including all immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions, naturalizations, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, U Visas, T Visas, TPS, SIJS, and VAWA petitions.

As the daughter of immigrants herself, along with being married to a first-generation Nigerian- American, she brings a level of understanding to our clients that is hard to duplicate. Because of this, and many other reasons, she decided to become an immigration attorney.  She loves to help as many people as she can through this complex process. Melissa and her husband currently live in the DFW area and plan on staying here as long as they can.
